Peace is much more than the opposite of war.

Peace in Edge Life Magazine-- November, 2003

Peace in an organization is the sum of the behaviors of its members"

Surviving Our Future Through the Message of Our Past

Peace in Edge Life Magazine-- January, 2004

"We may find that the greatest irony of our time is that with such miraculous technologies, families are still destroyed and children orphaned from preventable disease, malnutrition, and viral epidemics that sweep through their homelands. With the most sophisticated understandings of peace, now available to the largest populations ever recorded, we still find ourselves witness to the horrors of war, induced famine and senseless acts of hate. It is within the context of these extremes that we search for unity in our world, and deeper meaning in our lives."

We are Here for a Purpose Last of a two-part EDGE Interview with Giselle M. Massi by Tim Miejan

Peace in Edge Life Magazine-- May, 2003

"Well, I think there are a lot of answers to that. I think a significant element would be a heart of gratitude, and it goes back to what I was saying in the first part of this interview about my father. He had such peace in him because he had no ill feelings toward anything or anybody, and by that I mean under any circumstance. He was so grateful for the life experience that he didn't react in a hostile way about anything. Yes, life is challenging and difficult, but the reward comes from living it from a place of spiritual virtues. That is what brings the happiness."

The Work & The Peace The EDGE Interview with Byron Katie by Doug Crandall

Peace in Edge Life Magazine-- January, 2004

"Katie saw that when she believed that something should be different than it is ("My husband should love me more," "My children should appreciate me,") she suffered, and that when she didn't believe these thoughts, she felt peace. She realized that what had been causing her depression was not the world around her, but the beliefs she had about the world around her. In a flash of insight, Katie saw that our attempt to find happiness was backward -- instead of hopelessly trying to change the world to match our thoughts about how it should be, we can question these thoughts and, by meeting reality as it is, experience unimaginable freedom and joy. As a result, a bed-ridden, suicidal woman became filled with love for everything life brings. Katie developed a simple yet powerful method of inquiry, called The Work, that helped make this transformation practical."
